Your account

How do I sign up?

Use your Google account, or an email address and a password. With email, we send a link to confirm the address first. One email address is always one account: signing in with Google using the same address opens the same account.

I didn't get the confirmation or password email.

Check your spam folder, then wait two minutes and ask for a new one (we send at most one of each every two minutes). Confirmation links work for 48 hours, password reset links for one hour, and each link works once.

How do I change my name, picture or username?

Settings → General. Your profile is at jonbur.com/@yourname.

Can I make my account private?

Yes, in Settings → General. Then only people you approve see your posts and portfolios.

Paper money

What is paper money?

Practice money, not real money. Every paper portfolio starts with ₩10 billion of paper money (more on paid plans) to try investing in Korean stocks without any risk. Nothing you do with it costs or earns real money, and it can never be withdrawn.

At what price are paper trades made?

At the latest closing price. Prices aren't live yet, so a paper trade uses the most recent close, not the price at that moment.

Can I have more than one portfolio?

Yes. Free accounts have 3 paper portfolios, Pro 10 and Premium 25. One of them is your main portfolio, which counts for your profile and the leaderboards.

Who can see my portfolio?

You choose. Free accounts show 30% of their holdings; Pro and Premium choose how much. Hidden holdings never leave our servers, and we never show amounts, only percentages.

Plans and billing

What do the plans cost?

Free costs nothing. Pro is US$9.99 a month or US$99.99 a year; Premium is US$19.99 a month or US$199.99 a year. The full comparison is on the Plans page.

How do I pay?

With PayPal or a credit or debit card. Card checkout may show your local currency.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

Settings → Subscription. If you cancel, your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and you can resume before then. Upgrades start straight away; downgrades start at the end of the period.

Can I get a refund?

Write to us from the email address on your account and tell us what happened. We look at every request.

Data and delays

Are prices live?

Not yet. Prices are end-of-day: they update after the market closes, usually by the next morning. Filings appear within minutes, news headlines within about 15 minutes.

Who writes the English summaries?

Summaries of filings, research reports, the market wrap and stock stories are written by AI and labelled as such. Always check the original filing or article before relying on anything.

Something looks wrong.

Not financial advice

Does JONBUR tell me what to buy?

No. Everything on JONBUR is general information, community opinion or AI summaries of public sources. Nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and we don't know your situation. Investing in shares can lose money; read our Risk disclosure.

What are signals and the hype gauge?

They describe activity, such as how much people are talking about a stock or how its price has moved. They are not recommendations.

Deleting your account

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account is switched off at once and deleted after 14 days. You choose whether your posts stay (shown as "Deleted user") or are removed. If you have a paid plan, its renewal is cancelled straight away.

I changed my mind.

Sign in within the 14 days and choose "Restore my account".

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes. Settings → Account → Download my data. We email you a link to a zip file that works for 7 days.

Still need help?

Send us a message and we'll answer by email, usually within two working days. For anything about your personal data, write to [email protected].
