jonbur
Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and jonbur (jonbur.com). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Please read them, especially the parts about investment risk and our liability.
What jonbur is
jonbur is an information and social platform about Korean stocks. It gives you market data, translated company announcements, research, tools and a community where people share ideas.
jonbur is not a broker, investment adviser, bank or financial institution. We don't hold your money or shares, place real trades, or manage investments. We're not registered with financial regulators in Korea or elsewhere as an investment adviser.
No investment advice
Nothing on jonbur is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or advice tailored to you. This includes data, research reports, Warren's answers, Strategy ideas, rankings, posts and comments. Investing involves risk, including losing money. Make your own decisions, and consider talking to a licensed professional who knows your situation. Please read our Risk Disclosure.
Data may be late or wrong
Prices and other data come from third parties and may be delayed (usually end-of-day), incomplete or wrong. Translations and AI-written text can contain mistakes or miss nuance, and the original Korean documents are what count. Before you act on anything, check the official source, such as the company's filing or the exchange.
The attributions our data licences require are on the Data notices page. Brokers' research reports belong to their publishers: we show the titles, targets and ratings of their public reports and link to them, but don't host their reports. IPO dates and Korea events can change.
Paper trading is pretend
Paper portfolios use simulated money. Simulated results don't include every real-world cost or limit (such as liquidity, taxes, fees, price limits and how fast orders fill) and don't show what you'd earn with real money.
Invites, rewards and the memberships waitlist
Gift a stock: you can send a friend a link that gives them paper money (₩100,000 unless we say otherwise) invested in a stock you picked when they join. It is pretend money with no cash value and can't be exchanged or withdrawn. Each new member can receive one gift; gifts expire after 30 days; we may hold or cancel a gift that looks like abuse (for example a gift to your own second account) and limit how many you can send.
- Invite rewards are paper money only. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged or withdrawn.
- Rewards for inviting yourself, using fake accounts or other abuse are held or removed, and may lead to the account being closed.
- The memberships waitlist is only a waitlist: joining costs nothing, buys nothing, and doesn't guarantee that memberships launch, when, or on what terms.
Chat, Swipe, signals and AI stories
Stock chats are public. The community guidelines apply: no pumping, spam, harassment or paid promotion without saying so. Chats have a slow mode; messages can be held by our automatic checks, hidden after reports and removed by moderators, and we may make a chat read-only.
Rankings, the buzz score, signals and "Why is it moving?" describe what is happening (activity on jonbur, prices, news, filings and analysts' changes). They are not recommendations to buy or sell anything.
AI stories and sentiment are written automatically by an AI model from the headlines, filings and posts we list with them. They can be incomplete or wrong; check the linked sources. They are general information, not advice.
"Share my return" cards show percentage returns of a paper portfolio, never amounts, and only when you choose to share them. Swipe is a way to browse stocks; liking, watching or paper-buying in Swipe involves pretend money only.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding agreement.
- Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. Don't share or sell accounts.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
Your content
You own what you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, share, translate and adapt it to run and promote jonbur. This ends when you delete it, except for copies others have already shared or that we must keep by law.
What users and creators post is their own opinion, not ours. We don't check it in advance and don't endorse it. A verified creator badge confirms who someone is, not that their views are right.
What you must not do
Follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, don't:
- Manipulate markets: pump-and-dump schemes, coordinated buying or selling calls, spreading rumours to move a price, or any other conduct that breaks securities laws.
- Post false or misleading information about companies, stocks or people.
- Promote a stock you are paid to promote, or that you're about to sell, without clearly saying so.
- Impersonate anyone, including companies, officials or other investors.
- Harass, threaten or abuse people, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content.
- Share inside information or anything you have no right to share.
- Spam, scrape the site, use bots, or try to break, overload or get around our security or plan limits.
- Use jonbur to offer regulated financial services without the required licence.
Notifications, reminders and the app
You choose push notifications for each device and type, and can turn them off at any time in Settings → Notifications or in your device's settings. Notifications, reminders and the daily market wrap may arrive late or not at all, so don't rely on them for anything time-critical.
Subscriptions and payments
- Paid plans (Pro and Premium) are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe (card) or PayPal, at the price shown when you subscribe.
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We'll tell you before any price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
- You can cancel any time in Settings → Subscription. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, then you go back to Free.
- Refunds: if you change your mind, ask within 7 days of a payment and before using the paid features, and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments aren't refundable except where the law says otherwise, or if the service was unavailable or not as described. Consumer rights you have under the law where you live (including in Korea, the EU and the UK) aren't affected.
- Prices are in US dollars. Your bank or card provider may charge conversion fees.
Suspension and closing accounts
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, puts others at risk, or where the law requires. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and let you respond. You can stop using jonbur and ask us to close your account at any time.
Our intellectual property
The site, its design, software, brand, logo, research reports and other content we create belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial use of jonbur. Don't copy, resell or republish them without permission. Data from third parties stays theirs.
Third-party services
jonbur links to and works with other services (such as Google sign-in, payment providers, YouTube and TikTok, and company websites). Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we're not responsible for them.
YouTube: if you connect YouTube or use "Also post to YouTube", you agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the videos you choose to post to your channel.
The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep jonbur accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for your purposes. To the extent the law allows, we don't give any warranties beyond those stated in these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for investment or trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of jonbur or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you haven't paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out. Disputes go to the Seoul Central District Court, unless the law where you live as a consumer gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes, we'll give at least 7 days' notice (30 days if the change is to your disadvantage) by email or on the site. If you keep using jonbur after the change, you accept the new terms; if you don't agree, you can close your account.
