LivsMed shares rose 27.2% over five trading days to 2026-10-19 on 2.1 times normal volume, closing at ₩44,000. The move changes little in the fundamentals, but it lifts the valuation multiples the previous report flagged as high.

What happened
From 2026-10-13 to 2026-10-19 the shares gained 27.2%, with trading volume at 2.1 times the normal level. The close on 2026-10-19 was ₩44,000, giving a market capitalisation of ₩1.11T. No new filings explain the move: the most recent filings are two investor relations events on 2026-10-01 and the half-year report on 2026-08-14. One news headline dated 2026-10-19 (Money Today) says the company is pursuing simultaneous U.S. and Japan approvals for its surgical robot 'STARC'. The data does not show whether this headline drove the rise.
Over 20 days, retail investors bought about ₩9.8B net, while foreigners sold about ₩6.3B and institutions sold about ₩4.3B. Foreign ownership was 3.0%, down from 5.9% sixty days ago. The short balance is 1.3%.
What it changes for the thesis
The previous report described an early-stage, loss-making company with little debt and a high market valuation. Nothing in the data changes that picture. Trailing revenue is still ₩51.2B, the operating loss is ₩22.6B (an operating margin of -44.2%), and trailing free cash flow is about -₩42.0B against cash of ₩50.5B and borrowings of ₩3.0B. Cash still covers roughly a year of the trailing outflow, which is a point to watch.
The price move is not backed by new financial information in the filings. The rise comes with continued net foreign and institutional selling over 20 days, with retail buying on the other side. The approval headline, if confirmed by later filings, would be relevant to the revenue outlook, but the data gives no figures on timing or size.
What it changes for the valuation
The model has no estimate for this company, as in the previous report, so there is no bear, base or bull range to compare with the ₩44,000 share price. On the market multiples, price-to-book is now 6.8 (6.7 in the previous report, 7.2 at the end of 2025) and price-to-sales is 21.7 (21.5 before). Enterprise value is ₩1.06T. Price-to-earnings and EV/EBITDA are not available because earnings are negative.
Among the peers, TSE trades at 6.5 times book, Kctech at 3.5, Classys at 3.6, Park Systems at 5.2 and Curiox Biosystems at 24.4. LivsMed remains in the upper part of the group on book value, below Curiox. The shares are 54.1% below the 52-week high of ₩95,900 on the data given and the one-month return is 47.4%.
Closing view
The evidence shows a sharp, high-volume rebound in a company whose reported fundamentals are unchanged: sizeable losses, cash burn, a modest debt load and a premium valuation on sales and book value. The only possible catalyst in the data is a news report about approval plans, with no filing or figures to quantify it. With no model estimate and no earnings multiple, the evidence remains incomplete. Future filings on revenue, losses and cash will matter most for judging whether the current valuation is supported.
Model estimate of fair value
The valuation model has no estimate for this company yet (not enough data, or no positive value with the base case).
