잠정실적 (jamjeong siljeok)

Preliminary earnings

Reviewed October 15, 2026

Early, unaudited results a company announces before its full quarterly or annual report.

잠정실적 (jamjeong siljeok) are preliminary earnings: a company's first estimate of sales and profit for a quarter or year, published before the full report. Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, for example, publish preliminary figures in the first week or so after a quarter ends.

The full quarterly report (분기보고서) follows within 45 days of the quarter end and the annual report (사업보고서) within 90 days of the year end. Preliminary numbers can differ from the final ones.
