투자경고 (tuja gyeonggo)

A Korea Exchange alert for stocks whose price has risen abnormally fast; the step after 'caution'.

투자경고 (tuja gyeonggo) is an 'investment warning' the Korea Exchange gives a stock whose price has jumped abnormally. It is the middle of three steps: 투자주의 (investment caution), 투자경고 (investment warning) and 투자위험 (investment risk).

A warned stock can't be bought on credit, and if the price keeps rising trading can be halted for a day or the stock moved up to 'investment risk'. These alerts are common for theme stocks.
