데드크로스 (dedeu keuroseu)

Dead cross (death cross)

Reviewed October 15, 2026

A shorter moving average crossing below a longer one, a common sign of a trend turning down.

A dead cross, called a death cross in English, is the opposite of a golden cross: a short-term moving average falls through a longer-term one. Korean investors say 데드크로스.

Like all moving-average signals it lags the price, so it describes a fall that has already happened rather than predicting one.

Also called: death cross
