Support and resistance

Reviewed October 15, 2026

Price levels where buying (support) or selling (resistance) showed up before, often recent lows and highs.

Support is a price level where a falling stock stopped before; resistance is a level where a rising stock stopped. Traders watch them because those levels mattered to buyers and sellers in the past.

JONBUR takes them from recent swing lows and highs (a day lower or higher than the days around it). A close through resistance is called a breakout, through support a breakdown.
