OBV (누적거래량) (nujeok georaeryang)

On-balance volume (OBV)

Reviewed October 15, 2026

A running total that adds the day's volume when the price closes up and subtracts it when it closes down.

On-balance volume was introduced by Joseph Granville in 1963. A rising OBV line means more volume has traded on up days than on down days.

It is used to check whether volume supports a price trend.
